Job search and unemployment: keeping going with clarity
Lots of applications, few replies: signs, questions to reflect on, and how career coaching helps with strategy and interviews.
You send out applications and get rejections or no reply at all. Every week the pressure grows, on your finances and on your sense of worth.
How it can show up
- You send out lots of applications, but without a clear direction.
- After rejections you find it hard to keep going.
- In interviews you struggle to name your strengths.
- You are not sure which jobs really suit you.
Questions for you
There are no right answers. Take the question that stays with you.
- Which tasks make you lose track of time?
- Which jobs would you not have dared to apply for, and why?
- What do the rejections have in common when you put them side by side?
- Who do you know who works in a field that interests you?
Where coaching can help
In career coaching we clarify your strengths and goals, look at your documents and application strategy and prepare for interviews. Coaching cannot guarantee a job, but it helps you use your chances more deliberately.
When other help fits better
For financial support, benefits and funding programmes, the employment agencies or equivalent offices in your country are the right place to go.
If it is too much right now
Coaching is not psychotherapy and not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact the emergency services where you are right away, or a crisis service near you.
Want to talk it through?
In a free 20-minute intro call we look at whether coaching is the right way to work on this for you. If it is not, I will tell you so.
