Why am I here? Living with the big questions of life
Questions about the meaning of life, your place in the world or what comes after weigh on you? Questions to reflect on and who can accompany them.
Questions about the meaning of life, your place in the world or what comes after are very much on your mind.
How it can show up
- Questions about the meaning of life come especially in the evening or in quiet moments.
- Everyday goals seem small next to these questions.
- You rarely talk about them because others don't know what to do with them.
- Sometimes the questions make you curious, sometimes heavy.
Questions for you
There are no right answers. Take the question that stays with you.
- Which of these questions occupies you most right now?
- What have you already read, heard or believed about it?
- With whom could you start a conversation about it?
- Which concrete decision in your life is connected to this question?
What coaching can do
These are not questions coaching can answer. If concrete decisions about your life grow out of them, coaching can help with those.
When other help fits better
Philosophy, faith and conversations with people you trust are often more helpful here. If the questions come with hopelessness, talk to a licensed psychotherapist.
If it is too much right now
Coaching is not psychotherapy and not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact the emergency services where you are right away, or a crisis service near you.
